John Butler Trio — Good Excuse
What a pleasure it was to meet and work with the talented Mr. John Butler and his band members, Shannon Birchall (on up-right bass) and Michael Barker (on drums). After a live-action green screen shoot (complete with turntables and unicyclists!) Hackett Films set to work creating comical characters that combined 3D heads with live-action bodies, skies made of clouds of ink footage, and a library of illustrated elements for this Adobe After Effects.
