Mel Marshal’s Movies
Mel Marshal’s Movies is a comedy-drama television series about a bright fourteen year old with a family life controlled by a highly-strung, over ambitious mother, and a school life recently made very average by Veronica, the mega-bitch who steals her best friend. These issues combine with inspiration to drive Mel to manipulate mutant toys, Lego, fluffy koalas and what ever she can find into home-made action movies, whose super-heroes resemble family and friends, and whose plots are comical, melodramatic mirrors of Mel’s out-of-control world. Mel enlists the help of the new kid at school, hipster-geek tech-wiz, Jarrod, art-house Aunt Cassy, and her retired actor Grandpa. With this motley crew behind her, Mel’s passion for film grows, a passion that she reveals to the rest of the world, through her online blog.
